Prof. Matthias Wagner K is an exhibition organiser, biennial director, curator, author and, since 2012, director of the Museum Angewandte Kunst in Frankfurt am Main. Within a year, Wagner K repositioned the museum with a completely revised exhibition and participation concept. With its changing thematic exhibitions, it has since focused on the perception of social trends and developments. It sees itself as a place for sensual spaces of thought and experience, for conversations and critical discourse, and has since become one of the most internationally respected and distinguished museums of its kind. Matthias Wagner K has also held an honorary professorship for Design Curating and Criticism at the HfG Offenbach since 2018, is one of the three artistic directors for Theater der Welt 2023.
